2. Ryan Garcia PG (Far Eastern University) 16.4 (Last Week Rank: 2 (16.1ppg))

5. Jeric Fortuna PG (University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers) 13.6 (Last Week Rank: 4 (14.1ppg))

End of Eliminations Update - Parks handily won the Season 74 scoring title as a freshman. He is the only UAAP player this year to average over 20 points a game. His career high so far is 32 points in an 82-84 loss to FEU. His low is 7 points in a win against Adamson in the first round. That was only game that he failed to reach double figures. Following Parks are Season 73 MVP RR Garcia, Adamson's main man Alex Nuyles, and the UST guard tandem of Jeric Fortuna and Jeric Teng. Among the leaders, only Parks will not play in the Final 4.

September 5, 2011 Update - Parks still leads the next best scorer by over 3 points a game even if his averages somehow dipped this week. With only 2 games left for him, he needs to average 23.5 in these games to be able to finish the season with a 20 point per game average. The rest of the top 5 has not change with exception of Kiefer Ravena who was overtaken by hot-shooting Jeric Teng for the 5th place. Teng scored 20 big points in UST's lone game last week.

August 29, 2011 Update - Parks continues to increase his scoring average and his lead over the next best scorer. He is the only UAAP player to average more than 20 points a game. Jeric Fortuna continues to slip in the rankings and his average is 1 ppg less than last week. Fortuna exchanged places with Ravena in the 4th and 5th spots.

August 22, 2011 Update- Ray Parks is slowly pulling away for the scoring title as he increased his average by almost 2 points in the last 2 games. He now leads RR Garcia by 2.9 points a game. The top 5 remains the same but Jeric Fortuna only averaged 11 points in the last 2 games causing his average to dip and his ranking to fall from 2 to end up 4th.

August 15, 2011 Update - There was not much change in the Top 5 except that Alexander Nuyles and Keifer Ravena exchanged places. The top scorers of the UAAP are getting their groove and their averages are expected to rise in the upcoming games.

August 8, 2011 Update- Ray Parks continue to lead the UAAP 74 scoring race and he upped his average to 17.1 per game which 1.6 points higher than the next best scorer. He broke out of a mini-slump by scoring 23 points in a losing effort against UE. Three Guards who were not ranked in the top 5 last week are suddenly on his heels. Fortuna, Garcia, and Ravena had great scoring games this week to dislodge Revilla, Slaughter, and Teng.

August 3, 2011- So far, Rookie Ray Parks lead the scoring of the UAAP 74 Basketball. He started the season averaging 22 points per game in the first games but he has somehow fizzled to a 10.3 average in the last 3 games.

Rebounds (Rebounds per Game)

1. Karim Abdul C (UST Growling Tigers) 11.5 (Last Week Rank: 1 (11.4 rpg))

2. Greg Slaughter C (ADMU Blue Eagles) 9.4 (Last Week Rank: 2 (9.8))

2. Emmanuel Mbe C (National University Bulldogs) 9.4 (Last Week: 3 (9.4))

5. Eric James Camson PF (AdU Soaring Falcons) 7.8

6. Christopher Camus F (UST Growling Tigers) 7.6 (Last Week Rank: 5 (7.6))

End of Eliminations Update - Karim Abdul is the Season 74 rebound champion. He averaged over 2 rebounds a game over Slaughter, Ramos, and Mbe. He missed UST's last game due to suspension but it does not take away that he is a vital cog in the Tigers' entry to the Final 4. All six leading rebounders come from Final 4 teams. It is a testament that rebounding is a big key to success in this league.

September 5 Update - Abdul continues to run away with the rebound title as he increased his average by .2 percentage points week on week. The 4 chasers remained the same but Slaughter exchanged places with Ramos. Slaughter grabbed 29 caroms in 2 games last week as compared to the 3 rebounds that Ramos got in FEU's win versus UE.

August 29 update - Abdul grabbed 25 rebounds in 2 wins last week and he increased his averaged to 11.2 per game. It is one and half rebounds more than the next best rebounder of the season. The top 5 has not changed except for UP's Mbah who is now out of the rankings.

August 22 update - Karim Abdul retained his position as the tournament's leading rebounder. He had a 19 -rebound performance in UST's loss to Ateneo to increase his average by 1 rebound a game. The top 5 is virtually the same as NU's Mbe continues to climb up of the standings as he is now No. 3 after overtaking Greg Slaughter. UP's Mbah is back at the top 5.

August 15 update - For the 3rd straight update, there is a new leader in rebounds. Karim Abdul grabbed the lead after getting his 6th straight twin digit rebound totals in a game. Watch out for NU's Mbe who is averaging 13 rebounds per game in his last 3 outings. Early leader Mbah (UP) is out of the top 5.

August 8 update - Aldrech Ramos was the bright spot in FEU's 2 game losing slide. He grabbed 10 rebounds against UP and 18 against Greg Slaughter-led Ateneo Blue Eagles. He now average 9.9 rpg. Following him are basically the same players from last week. Only Mbah of UP decrease in average.

August 3 update - UP's Nigerian C Ifeanyi Mbah has grabbed more than 10 rebounds in 2 of his last 3 games. He has been UP's pillar of strength and energy in this year's UAAP wars.

Facilitators

Passing (Assists per Game)

1. Emman Monfort PG (ADMU Blue Eagles) 4.2 apg (Last Week Rank: 1 (4.3 apg))

2. Michael Silungan GF (UP Fighting Maroons) 3.7 (Last Week Rank: 2 (3.7))

3. Luis Revilla PG (DLSU Green Archers) 3.6 (Last Week: 2 (3.7))

4. Alex Nuyles GF (AdU Soaring Falcons) 3.3 (Last Week Rank: 4 (3.4))

5. Jeric Fortuna PG (UST Growling Tigers) 3.2 (Last Week Rank: 4 (3.4))

End of Eliminations update - Emman Monfort of the ADMU Blue Eagles is the Season 74 top passer. He led the league in assists all throughout the competition. He is the primary facilitator of the league's No.1 team. Mike Silungan of UP is surprisingly at 2nd as he added passing to his vast offensive arsenal. Revilla, Nuyles, and Fortuna rounded up the Top 5. Monfort, Nuyles, and Fortuna will be playing in the Final 4.

September 5 update - Monfort maintains his lead in the assist department while teammate Long fell out the rankings after being overtaken by Adamson Guard Alex Nuyles.

August 29 update - Emman Monfort is still leading the assists department of the UAAP 74. He averaged 6 dishes in two wins last week. Top 5 is still the same with Revilla and Silungan exchanging places and Long and Fortuna as well.

August 22 update - Monfort still leads the assist department but his average declined last week. Jeric Fortuna had a big drop of this stat as he had 0 assists in UST's loss to Ateneo. Kirk Long replaces teammate Kiefer Ravena in the No. 5 position.

August 15 update - Emman Monfort keeps the top spot and he is slowly pulling away from his competition. He is the only player who averaged more than 4 assists a game. Long, CaƱada, Fortuna are replaced by LA Revilla and Keifer Ravena in the top 5.

August 8 update - Monfort maintained his lead in this category as he is the most consistent passer right now in the UAAP. The assists numbers of the league is pretty low but it is expected to pick up in the 2nd round. UP's Mike Silungan is the only new entry in the list, he replaced teammate Mike Gamboa.

August 3 update - Emman Monfort paces fellow Blue Eagle Kirk Long in the assist department. The Blue Eagles has the most potent offense so far this season and that is why it is no surprise that the top 2 passers come from their team.

LA Revilla top the steals category as of August 8

Perimeter Defense (Steals per Game)

1. Luis Revilla PG (DLSU Green Archers) 1.6 spg (Last Week: 1 (1.8 spg))

1. Emman Monfort PG (ADMU Blue Eagles) 1.6 (Last Week: 2 (1.7))

1. Lester Alvarez GF (AdU Falcons) 1.6 (Last Week: 3 (1.6))

4. Kiefer Ravena G (ADMU Blue Eagles) 1.5 (Last Week: 3 (1.6))

5. Jeric Fortuna PG (UST Growling Tigers) 1.3 (Last Week: 5 (1.5))

End of eliminations update - The steals crown is shared by Monfort, Revilla, and Alvarez. Revilla and Monfort were consistent in leading this category since the first round. Alvarez sneaked in due to his outstanding play in the last 5 games where he averaged 3 steals a game. Ravena is 4th while Fortuna is 5th. Among the 5, only Revilla will not be playing in the Final 4.

September 5 update - LA Revilla retains his ranking in the steals category. Lester Alvarez came out of nowhere to tie Ravena at No.3. Adamson's Alvarez made 8 steals in 2 games last week. The steals champ is still too close to call.

August 29 update - The top 5 is exactly the same with Revilla keeping the top spot. LA Revilla had 4 steals in his game against the Eagles to maintain the lead in the rankings.

August 22 Update - The top 5 is virtually the same with the exception of the entry UST's Jeric Fortuna. His entry displaced NU's Parks in the rankings. The other notable riser is Kiefer Ravena who is now tied with his teammate Monfort at No.2. We might see a new leader next week as all their numbers are very close.

August 15 Update - The top 5 is practically the same but their averages are a bit lower than last week. Revilla, Monfort, Exciminiano, Ravena, and Parks have shown that they are the season's best perimeter defenders.

August 8 Update- DLSU's LA Revilla leads the steals department with 2.2 steals per game. His top performance this season was 6 in the game against NU. Revilla is followed by 2 players from the league-leading Ateneo Blue Eagles (Monfort and Ravena).

End of Eliminations update - Manyara is the top blocker this year. He edged out big men Greg Slaughter, Norbert Torres, Ifeanyi Mbah, and Emmanuel Mbe. Three of the top 5 are African players. Only the top 2 blockers will be playing in the Final 4.

September 5 update - The Top 6 blockers are still the same. Manyara is holding on to his .2 bpg lead to second-running Greg Slaughter.

August 29 update - Manyara continues to lead in blocking but his lead shrunk to .2. Slaughter can overtake him with a good blocking game next week.

August 22 update - The top 3 is the same but UP's Mbah has not been performing in the past couple of games. Norbert Torres of La Salle joins the top 5 after blocking 9 shots in his last 3 games.

August 15 update - Same 5 players are in the top 5. Manyara though took over the leadership from Mbah of UP.

August 8 update - The block league leaders indicate the "foreign invasion" of the UAAP. The bigs from Africa led by Mbah, Manyara, and Mbe lord the low post. Fil-Am Greg Slaughter is 4th while Chris Camus represents the pure Pinoys and UST.
